What is a Wetpaint Site?

When we were thinking about how to create an on-line community where people could get together, learn about crowdsouring and share ideas, we hit a brick wall. There were some sites that offered the social networking features we wanted but lacked the wiki (knowledge repository) feature we knew was key to sharing knowledge. A friend recommended Wetpaint which is a blend of both wiki and social network. Because Wetpaint is in a class by itself, creating a help page was in order. You will see listed below, Crowd Forum features with a description and link to further information.

On the Crowd Forum Site you Can:

  • Create & edit content (wiki style)
  • Take part in discussion forums
  • Crate a profile for yourself with pictures, links and videos
  • Invite your friends to join in

Getting Started:

The Wetpaint web site has some great tips for beginners:

Discussion Forums:

In addition to content pages on the site you will find a discussion forum or "thread" attached to every page. Threads give you the ability to start a discussion related to that page's content. The "Discussion Forum" link in the top nav bar gives you access to all threads and the ability to start general threads that may not be related to a specific page.
